The Worx WG112 is a great little trimmer ... for a small area, anyway. I have a small yard and need to trim around 3 flower beds / garden areas and around my steps. This trimmer is perfect for that small area. No gas engine, so it's very quiet. And it's cheap! I couldn't find replacement line spools for it at amazon, but Sears has them for less than $5. So, if you have a small area to keep trimmed, get the WG112.

This is a great shrub clipper (so far) My husband trims the shrubs in spring, and then again in fall, but during the summer they get messy. They are too large to trim by shears, and my husbands clipper is too heavy, so I bought this. It is light, holds the charge for at least 30 minutes, and does a great job. This is a great little tool!! Changing from one cutter to the other is easier(and faster!!) than changing the blade in a utility knife!! Highly recommend. Keep in mind that this is a "light duty" tool. Does great with grass and small-twig bushes/hedges. Also, it comes with decent pouches to store cutters in. Overall good value!

Nice product. Could use a tiny bit more power though. The grass clipper works OK. Run time is about 20 minutes so it works good on my small gardens and yard. The best part is the hedge trimmer attachment. It works great on small hedges. Might note ever need to get those big heavy clippers out again. Stays charged even when stored off the charge due to the battery type. So for me the Worx Works.

I bought this item in May of 2002. Now it's the summer of 2009

and I'm STILL using it. That's 8 summers! It worked as good today as it did when

I used it for the first time. It trims exactly what I WANT it to

trim.. Around the house, around the 3 decks, around the RV, around

the flower beds and around several trees and bushes.

Yes.. there are other trees that there is not enough battery power

for, but by then I've had enough yard work for one day. I'm

done, anyway! I only wish one thing. That I could buy another

one when it dies..(I HOPE IT NEVER DOES!)

Oh..and I've only changed the string once in those 8 years.

The string only extends about three inches on the one I bought, and there seems to be no way to lengthen it, since it is supposed to work "by centrifugal force." I tried pulling more out, but no dice. Black & Decker did not respond to my email to their support about this.



This makes it very tedious to use the trimmer, requiring multiple passes over an area, and the trimmer is fairly heavy. I am not a happy customer, and would give this a minus star if possible.

This is by far the best string trimmer I have ever owned. You just don't have to fuss with the string. It is completely automatic, no bumping to adjust. I have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of work that can be done with one charge. The battery holds its' charge for a long time between uses, unlike most of my other cordless tools. Most string trimmers I have previously owned were very fussy and always seemed to be in need of adjustment. I have owned this trimmer for six months and it has worked flawlessly

I purchased the Weedeater XT114 at a local hardware store for some light duty trimming at my vacation home. I realize this is not a heavy duty trimmer, but it is so much less than that. You'd be better off buying a good pair of scissors for $5.00 and saving the $45.00. It just doesn't perform at all. Don't believe me? The Weed Eater XT114 Electric Trimmer/Edger has a lot of power. It is relatively light and easy to manuever. I definitely recommend using gloves and safety glasses with this one. I have found it extremely difficult to egde with this unit. It does not have an edging guide on it like many of the Black & Decker models do. This makes it very difficult to position the unit to edge properly. I find myself hitting the concrete with the trimmer line or cutting grooves in my lawn instead of getting right along the edge of the pavement as would be wanted. The other problem is that when the trimmer line breaks off, I cannot get the line to auto feed back out. Tapping the spool on a hard surface should feed it back out, but I always end up taking the spool apart instead. When the spool is apart, I find the trimmer line melted to itself. I have no idea why this happens. I have tried a new spool and had the same problem. Overall, I like the weight, power, and balance of the XT114 - but next time I will buy a different brand.

I am so happy I ordered this product. After weeks of frustration using a gas powered model that was very difficult to start, I was so glad I went ahead and bought this one instead. It is light-weight, has plenty of power, and is easy to assemble (and so nice not to have gas fumes!). I also liked the versatility... it easily snaps into a different position to use for edging. The string does wear rather quickly, but other than that, I have no complaints! I have a very large, very high maintenance Florida yard and this machine takes care of it just fine! Can't beat the price.

I have to admit at first I was apprehensive due to the price. I've always been one to believe in, "you get what you pay for." However, this was easy to assemble and even easier to use. It is very lightweight and I use this trimmer weekly. I am a woman with a medium build so if I can use it I think most people will be able to.



When we first bought our house the previous owners left the weeds get very thick. This trimmer did an excellent job and cut very close to the fence line as well. It did not lose any power at all. Our yard is about 1/4 acre with a fence in the back and weeds were every where. I highly recommend this weed eater. You will not be disappointed. I did give it 4 stars because the line doesn't last quite as long as some other models as another person said, but that is a minor flaw.
