By Al "the hardworking" (San Jose,CA)
In the past 20+ years as a homeowner, maintaining trimmed hedges around the front yard and around the garage side between my neighbors have always been a nuisance. I owed two electric hedge trimmers and one gas powered hedge trimmer. In the begining when the hedges were short and not so wide or deep, using the electric hedge trimmers was relatively painless. But as the hedges started to grow larger in size (height and width), the electric hedge trimmers was not doing the job anymore ... especially when the hedges were three to four feet wide and five to five-and-half feet in height. I am only 5 feet and 6 inches tall!! I had to use a ladder or step stool to stay ontop of the hedges to doing any kind of nice even trimming. Also the electric hedge trimmers got heavy after about 30 minutes. A job that should take no more than 1-2 hours to trim hedges on both side of the house was taking too much of my time. I decided to get a gas powered hedge trimming with 22 inch depth cut. I thought this would make my life easier. Boy, was I WRONG about that. It was painful just getting the trimmer to start (just like a gas powered lawnmower)and the trimmer was much heavier than the electric hedge trimmer. The last time I did any hedge trimming was during the spring when everything was in full bloom. This last experience left a bad taste in my mouth!!! PAINFUL! PAINFUL! I said that there must be a better way to do this job without hiring a landscape gardener.
Lo and behold, I happen to swing my local hardware store about two weeks ago and noticed this new Remington Hedge Wizard sitting in the aisle and the box was already opened. I inspected the product and said in my mind, I think I've found a hedge trimmer that is going to save me time and effort. But I knew nothing about this product and never heard about it before. The cost was not huge factor. It listed for 98 dollars (Online shopping cost was 109 dollars on the average). I debated whether to purchase the item for a about a week and finally this past weekend, I made the purchase. I used it yesterday morning and completed trimming the hedges. I have one that is about 40-50 feet in length and 3-4 feet in width. The other one is about 20 feet in length and 3-4 feet in width. The job was completed in little over 2 hours. Boy was I happy about that. I only drawback I see is that the hedge trimmer gets quite heavy because you're holding onto a pole on one end that has a somewhat heavy object at the other end. The trimmer side can ajusted from zero to ninety degrees depending on how you used the trimmer. I tried all the angles and found that just having the trimmer straight is fine. I definitely recommend this product to homeowners with large and length hedges to trim 3-4 times a year. It is a wise investment for a much used garden tool.

I bought this attachment with high hopes that it would give me a nice, clean, edged driveway and sidewalk with little effort. It did neither. Like someone else mentioned, it vibrated. A lot. And for what? The only difference I could see was dirt that had been thrown up onto my driveway. I've had better luck just turning my trimmer to the side. I ended up returning this item.

I bought this edger attachment five days ago. I used it for a total of 75 feet before it stripped the ez-link on my trimmer. Now I can't use my trimmer and it was like new before. I called Troy-Bilt and their parent company MTD. They stated it was not their problem as my trimmer was no longer under it's 90 day warranty. I now have to either pay out of pocket to fix my trimmer or upgrade to a quality made unit.

Troy-Bilt 7-1/2-Inch Blade Edger Attachment #41AJLE-C966 Works great for straight edging . A lot harder to make curves . I do not regret buying it item
By Marvin Biver
I got most of the attachments for the Troy Bilt string trimmer: chain saw, edger, blower . . . now I only have one engine to worry about. So far, it's great.
By Carrie M. Reeder (Iowa)
If you're sidewalk isn't badly overgrown, or if very short, you MIGHT be ok with this. I have a TB475 4 stroke weed eater, and it just wasn't enough power to do it without getting a permanent case of the shakes from holding the trimmer at full throttle (vibration) that long. If you have more than about 30 ft total to do, I would seriously consider finding a "real" edger. I found a 3.5 hp one used at a garage sale for 1/3 the price I paid for the attachment. Also, this item is made by MTD, which isn't exactly regarded as Gold Standard of quality and crafstmanship. Keep that in mind when purchasing also.

I bought this item for ease of use and while it does work as advertised be aware that the blade did not last very long, one use and I ended up with a blade that is less than half of it's original length. My advice is that if you intend to do much edging you may want to consider alternatives as this blade doesn't appear to be up to that task. For the price in my opinion it's just not worth it.

The Time Traveler's Wife
Buy Low Price From Here Now
A dazzling novel in the most untraditional fashion, this is the remarkable story of Henry DeTamble, a dashing, adventuresome librarian who travels involuntarily through time, and Clare Abshire, an artist whose life takes a natural sequential course. Henry and Clare's passionate love affair endures across a sea of time and captures the two lovers in an impossibly romantic trap, and it is Audrey Niffenegger's cinematic storytelling that makes the novel's unconventional chronology so vibrantly triumphant.
An enchanting debut and a spellbinding tale of fate and belief in the bonds of love, The Time Traveler's Wife is destined to captivate readers for years to come.

Since I heard the movie was just OK, I decided to read the book instead. Good reading, I stayed up too late reading every night!
By A. Wilkinson
This book was wonderful!! I really could not put it down. I read it because I wanted to watch the movie, but I wanted to read the book first and the book was just wonderful to read. A great book!!
By Nikki P. (Arlington,VA)
I like the basic plot idea which is that Claire (the wife) knows Henry (the time traveler) since she was a girl and when they meet in the present she knows him but he doesn't know her yet. See Henry doesn't remember his travels through time, only that he ends up with no shoes and frostbite when he returns. It's a dangerous and unpredictable job this time travel, much like being married to a soldier who goes to Iraq. He leaves and he's gone you worry he will not return home. So sci-fi it is not. Love story it sort of is. But once it explores their married life it wasn't all that interesting in to me. And it's very morose. Time travel is not fun for married people, people! Plus the details of the time travel is spotty at best and the ending wasn't as rewarding as I'd hoped. The writing is good though and it is a book I wanted to read through to the end.
By TNPatti (Portland, TN United States)
After hearing rave reviews, I was disappointed in this book. The premise is great and I didn't have too much trouble following the characters through the twisted plot line. The fact is this book is just too long. There's not enough story to carry it for the 17 hours I listened. It was like the author had to use every adjective she ever knew when a couple would have been satisfactory. The telling of the long dreams was just plain boring. The long passages in French were irritating. I found it to be somewhat pretentious. A good editor could have cut this book by a third and had a truly great novel. All that being said, I still found it interesting enough to finish.
By Amy N. Cook (Goldsboro, NC USA)
I had heard about this book for awhile, but had never thought to pick it up. I am so glad I did---best book I've read in quite some time. Absolutely adored it and would highly recommend to others!
