I have used this saw to cut branches as big as 6 inches in diameter. It is much slower than gasoline, but does not require the gas startup problem. I have owned 6 gas chain saws over the past 30 years and none are easy to start or to keep running.



The saw is hard on the low capacity Nicad batteries, perhaps 6 cuts of 5 inch branches per charge. B & D would have done much better with NiMh batteries.

I purchased this item because I have a lot of trees and shrubs in my yard and my husband is disabled and no longer can use a chain saw for trimming and pruning. I have used it on several occasions and it does the job, but the only problem I have, is when I use the extension, it is too heavy for me to reach the higher limbs. I would recommend this item to others who need to trim but can't climb to do it.

The most noteworthy feature of this product is its portability. Dont expect performance wonders in the areas of long battery life, cutting power, and unlimited extension. If used within its design capabilities it provides very satisfactory results. The chain can be resharpened in a few minutes using a 5/32 file. Lubricate the bar between each use.

The zipper was separated in the middle, and no matter how we try to put it together, the zipper keeps separating. Who do I talk to to get a replacement bag?

I had a 12 Volt Black and Decker trimmer for several years and loved it but needed more batteries to trim my 2000 ft.+ of sidewalk and curbs. All three work fine. No where near as powerful as plug-in tools but they work as advertised. I am glad to see that Black & Decker did include an LED light on each charger, unlike our older Dust Buster.



The Blower is good enough to clean grass off of the sidewalk. Some other reviews said that it was not powerful enough, but considering no gas and no plug-in, it works fine for me. The weed wacker is about half the speed of a plug-in unit. The hedge trimmer works with quarter inch branches and weeds, perhaps as fast as a plug-in. Having the same battery work on all three tools is a big plus.



Most battery tools have the newer and higher capacity NiMh batteries, but B & D sticks with the lower cost Nicad batteries. You will totally run down at least one battery when using these tools.



I think the package at the discounted price is well worth the money, but I would not pay full retail price.

Had this set for 2-3 months now. The hedge trimmer is fine, 4 stars. But the weed wacker and blower are pretty weak - I wish I had more powerful tools. DO NOT plan on using the weed wacker for edging (when you flip it) unless you are either 5'1" or your back likes to bend over. Granted my house had not been edged in a while, but it goes through a battery in about 10 minutes. No problems with mailboxes or around light posts...it can handle the light stuff. The blower is about the same, 10 minutes and battery is gone. Granted I have a bigger corner lot, but expected these to handle my 1/2 acre needs.

Definately a good product. Saves time and hassle not dealing with cords. Products are well made and will probably last for years to come. Blower strength definately weaker then its "corded" sibling (I've used both now), but the convenience is worth it. I'll have to wait-n-see on the batteries. The specs say they won't get a "memory", but I've had bad experience with re-chargeable products. If they work as advertised, I might have to bump up my review.

Simple to use, no cords or gas/oil to deal with and no problems at all so far (3 mos of use). It's very useful to have 3 interchangable batteries. Each battery doesn't last a long time but with 3 you can get the job done if it takes longer than 15 minutes. Not for heavy duty or big jobs.

Trimmer does an adequate job trimming and edging but the battery does not last any longer than 10 minutes. I even asked for and received a replacement battery from Worx and it still does not last any longer than 10-12 minutes. I was told you had to re-condition the battery memory and discharge completely and recharge 4 times but all that was useless. Bottom line: the trimmer is only as good as the power it gets and that is why I rated it POOR.

Well to start, I have had the top of the line Black and Decker models and so far in my observations in comparisson (just got this model) I am more than satisfied with this cheaper model.. I'm really glad I didnt listen to the one very negative review. While the box was indeed kind of worn out, it was well taped up and even resealed with an outer protective plastic bag for delivery.

As far as performance, this cuts with more power and cuts larger branches than my Black and Decker did (which I had to replace because it fell apart) and was 3 times the price. My only complaint is that this hedger is fairly heavy. After using it for about 10 minutes I had to stop because my arm was going numb from holding it up. But in a way Its not a complaint at all because the model just feels like its built better/more solid than the Black and Decker...

Ok, the first one I received did not have the internal fixtures to charge the unit. I called B/D and they had to send me a label to mail it back to them. They were nice enought and send one to me before they received mine back in the mail.

I had arranged the delivery to be able to use it after a vacation. That did not work.

Then I get the new one and charge it up and it keeps running out of battery life. I have a very small yard. I can not complete the front yard before the battery runs out and have to wait until the next day to complete it. Then, a third day to do the back yard. This is not what I expected.

Disappointed, YES!

This product is probably the worst piece of junk I have ever attempted to use. I ordered a replacement spool, thinking that the factory has some kind of magic that might improve the feeding and lifespan of the string-NOT. The string breaks every 3-5 seconds and you have to take the spool out and rethread through two openings! What a time consumer. It took me 1.5 hours to edge a tiny lawn that should have taken 15 minutes. The edger does not work for the same reasons. I cannot believe I paid $100 for this junk. Not to mention the fact no retailer carries any replacement spools and/or string for this product.

I purchased this product several months ago and had open heart surgery before I could use it. I've been going through weeks of rehab and finally got the ok to do yard work again. I got the Worx trimmer out and used it for the first time yesterday. I have never been so disappointed in a purchase before. The line is too thin, and it breaks about every ten seconds. Then you have to take it apart and re-string it and that is very difficult compared to my old Robi gas powered trimmer. I am at the point of getting rid of the machine because I feel it is not engineered properly for general use.
