I bought this little chainsaw 2 years ago for about $[...]. I have used it endlessly and well beyond "light use." I have taken down trees and cut them up, using it like a heavy duty chainsaw. It gets a little heavy extended fully out and I have had it crash down through branches and to the ground when I run out of strength. Still it keeps ticking! Well worth the [...] bucks! I think it's American made, too.

I purchased this back around Christmas for my Dad. He really likes it for keeping the trees trimmed around his travel trailer. It is easy to use and not very heavy so it doesn't wear him out. He is very pleased to have it. He was impressed that is was better quality construction than he figured for the price.

After using this saw for over a year, it has become apparent that the saw has a major problem. The chain becomes loose and falls out of the bar guide during EVERY cut. The vibration loosens the two nuts holding the chain tight and must be re-tightened every 5 minutes.

The cutting power is great and being able to detach the saw from the pole is very useful. A great product.

The main gear is a hard plastic. If you push this saw hard it WILL strip out. This may be ok if you can find a replacement gear, but I haven't been able to yet. If you have acres of limbs to cut that may be too much for this saw. If you just trim occasionally it is a great tool.
UPDATE: I found the replacement for only $10 online. Just Google it. I have to up the stars to 4 now.
