 "Great product!" 2009-08-15

I take care of my dad's lawn once a week and he lives about 40 minutes away from me, so I preferred to buy something quick and easy to use that doesn't require filling a tank, or charging every time I had to use it. This is perfect. Cuts the grass around his rocks and trees just fine, the line re-feeds which saves time, the edger works as well as I need it to. I highly recommend this product, especially if you need something convenient and time-saving.

 "Better than a 10" 2009-08-14
By D. Maier (Webster NY USA)
I am so impressed with this product. I have tried other cordless trimmers and the battery power did not last even a fraction of this one and the strength was not even close. I love this trimmer. It is light enough for me to use, it is flexible and very easy to change the trimmer wire. My only concern is that a tall person may not be happy with the length of the pole, someone over 6' would have to stoop, but it is perfect for me. Thank you so much.

"Wish I had done this sooner!" 2009-08-11

The Worx trimmer is more convenient, quieter, lighter, and just as effective as either of my other trimmers (one electric and one gas). I used to trim every few times I mowed because I dreaded either getting out the extension cord or developing a repetetive motion disorder trying to start the gas motor (not to mention hearing loss). Now I can grab the Worx and knock out the trimming and edging quickly. I wasn't very good at holding the gas trimmer upsidedown to edge, and hated both the smell and the noise. That's not a problem any more.

The battery life is excellent with the LI battery. I live in a single family home w/ about 1/3 acre, and can do the whole yard and edge the sidewalk TWICE on a single charge. If you are used to gas trimmers, bear in mind that an electric unit only runs when you pull the trigger. A gas unit runs all the time as you move from task to task. It is also important to keep in mind that this is a cordless trimmer and not intended for heavy tasks like cutting a new edge. It is best suited for maintaining an existing edge.

The only negative I can think of is that the automatic string feed is good but not perfect. Sometimes I have to fiddle with it a little to get more string out. This is, however, very minor. My neighbor has the Black & Decker cordless trimmer, and it is not comparable in either battery life or quality.

 "As good as advertised" 2009-08-07
By Julien Gallant (olmsted falls, oh United States)
I had been letting my weeds grow in anticipation of receiving my trimmer. It was able to cut trough the thick overgrowth around my garden boxes, trim around my house, my flower beds and edge about 200ft along my driveway and sidewalks on a battery charge.

The edging was very simple and did a clean job as long as i was careful.

My only gripe is the way the head pivots seems like it may get loose over time. Plus, the charger can mount to the wall but only with some ridiculously large bracket. I wish the charger could just mount directly to the wall.

All and all it's a good machine with a few quirks. If you live in the city and maintain your yard regularly the worx Lithium ion will be more than adequate. I sometimes laugh reading some posts complaining about the lack of power. Where do these people live that they need to clear fields of thick brush and small trees with a weedwacker?
